Europe

In Europe we produce both natural and precoloured ABS compound,  ABS and
SAN intermediates as well as various ABS blends with other engineering
plastics at our sites in Cologne, Germany, and Tarragona, Spain.

Both plants use the same emulsion polymerisation technology plus have  the
latest compounding facilities producing different lot sizes from kilo
sample to hundred tonne lots in an extensive array of standard and
customised grades and colours.

Cologne is equiped with medium and large capacity compounding lines to produce
the very highest quality ABS grades. Tarragona is more focused on smaller
lots of high quality customised colours as well as a wide range of impact
modifiers for other plastics.

Both plants have leading edge colour houses with well equiped labs and
small scale compounding lines for colour match plaques and development
samples.

The Cologne plant is also our business headquarters where Marketing and Sales
management, Technical Development, Supply Chain and General Administration
for the European business are based.

Both Ineos ABS plants are part of much larger petrochemical sites which
have major cracker and downstream derivative operations. Ineos ABS
therefore benefits from onsite supply of its key raw materials.
