Regarding the monomers and additives used in b/m Lustran ABS grades, the following limits must be observed:

Lustran ABS M203F, - M210TF, - M301FC
Acrylonitrile -specific migration limit: not detectable (detection limit < 0,02 mg/kg related to foodstuff
Butadiene - max. residual content in the article: < 1 mg/kg of the polymer or as an alternative specific migration limit: not detectable (detection limit < 0,02 mg/kg related to foodstuffs)
Octadecyl-3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionat -specific migration limit: < 6 mg/kg of foodstuff

Lustran ABS E401
Acrylonitrile -specific migration limit: not detectable (detection limit < 0,02 mg/kg related to foodstuff
Butadiene - max. residual content in the article: < 1 mg/kg of the polymer or as an alternative specific migration limit: not detectable (detection limit < 0,02 mg/kg related to foodstuffs)

With respect to its further additives and/or further constituents the a/m Lustran ABS grades also complies with the

• Recommendation VI "Mixed and grafted polymers of styrene and mixtures of polystyrene with polymers", of the former German Federal Health Office Office (BGA resp. BgVV), now renamed into "Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung (BfR), status: 01.04.06 (209. Communication: Bundesgesundheitsblatt 49, 838 (2006)).

Furthermore the following tests on the finished part belong to the responsibility of the finished articles manufacturer:

• Volatile components (section 5 of BfR- Recommendation VI)

• Peroxide detection ( section 7)
